Although Traffic Scotland is primarily concerned in the collection and distribution of real-time traffic related
data we are also committed to providing details of other forms of transport, and additional related
information. The Public Transport Information page provides links to further public transport related resources,
including bus, rail and air information as well as public transport journey planning tools.

Traveline Scotland
Traveline Scotland is a partnership between Transport Operators, Local Authorities and Transport Scotland. Their aim is
to provide up to date, accurate, impartial and understandable information on all public transport services within Scotland
and from Scotland to major destinations in other parts of the UK. Scottish local authorities and major transport operators
provide Traveline Scotland with data on public transport services running in their area. Traveline Scotland then utilises
this information to provide a personal journey planning service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via various methods of
dissemination including;
Real-time Public Transport Information
Real-time public transport information can be accessed using the
Traffic Scotland Additional Information Portal. For specific information select the public transport

Park and Ride
The Traffic Scotland web site includes
Park and Ride information for a number of sites in Scotland. The information
provided on these pages includes location, onward travel details and if available parking charges, opening times and
service numbers. Park and Ride site information can also be viewed on the
Traffic Information map view.
Information on the Move
There are a number of ways to access travel and traffic information on the move. Traffic Scotland provides;
- a PDA and WAP site, for further information see the
FAQ page.
- a 24 hour
Customer Care Information Line that can be contacted on 0800 028 1414; and,
- a number of
Travel Information Kiosks at locations across Scotland that provide real-time information about traffic
and weather conditions for the Scottish trunk road network.
Traveline Scotland provide a range of real-time public transport information services, including;
- an information line that can be contacted on 0871 200 22 33; and,
- the Txt2traveline SMS service, a
textback service allowing bus travellers to find out the next few departures from a specific bus stop. Users simply
text the bus stop reference code to the txt2traveline number, 0777 608 2 608, to receive a text alert

Carbon Calculator
Traffic Scotland features a Carbon Calculator that can be used to calculate carbon emissions for journeys across
